I conduct estate sales, or tag sales, in the greater
Kansas City area, selling the household contents on a commission
basis, and I do not charge a guaranteed minimum fee. I have conducted
estate sales since 1979, and although antiques and jewelry are
my specialties I have had wonderful results with cars, boats,
RV's and tools. There is no charge for the trip to view the sale
items and make sure you have enough for a sale. "Estate Sales"
or "Tag Sales" mean everything is priced, or tagged,
so moving sales are included, if there is enough. Nothing is shown
or sold pryor to sale days to anyone, the only fair way I know
to do this. I hire clerks to help sale days and tickets are written
as items sell. The original of each ticket will be given to my
client with the sale total and check. I believe my client has
the right to know what sold and for how much. The premises are
empty when I'm through as I have another business, with which
I have no financial connection, come and buy and remove the items
that haven't sold.
Estate sales are a great option for families from out of town
since I assume all of the organization and work necessary to conduct
the sale, making it unnecessary for them to have to be there.
I am also a certified appraiser which gives me the knowledge needed
to make you more money, in addition to the 32 years actual estate
sale experience.
Being a certified appraiser I am accepted by insurance companies
for appraisals for homeowners insurance. I can also do appraisals
for items you wish to donate to a charity, which I believe the
IRS is shortly going to require. There is an hourly fee for appraisals.
